"Soheila Salhshoor Kurdistani is an Iranian entrepreneur, inventor, and university professor. She is the CEO and founder of ChitoTech, a knowledge-based company producing innovative medical equipment and pharmaceutical supplies.
She was born in 1957 in Gonbad Kavous, Iran, and earned her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds in 1989, followed by a postdoctoral degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Birmingham in 1991. After returning to Iran, she joined Amirkabir Univerochemistry from the University of Leeds in 1989, followed by a postdoctoral degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Birmingham in 1991. After returning to Iran, she joined Amirkabir University as a faculty member.
Under her leadership, ChitoTech specializes in manufacturing advanced biomaterial wound dressings, hemostatic powders, and healing gels using natural biopolymers. The company produces over 4 million products annually and exports to several countries including Italy, Poland, Greece, Malaysia, and more.
