Alireza Amirghassemi is the founder and producer behind the Persian Broadcasting Company (PBC), famously known for launching the Tapesh television channel in October 1989. Born in Tehran in 1965, he emigrated first to the U.K. and then to the U.S., studying filmmaking at UCLA. Over his career, he has become a pivotal figure in Persian-language entertainment in the U.S., producing music videos, TV programs, and organizing over a thousand concerts worldwide. more
